This page answers questions that we have received from Windows users regarding the requirements for using our software under NT4/2000/XP/Vista without the CD-Rom.

• Note: Macintosh versions require the CD-Rom only during installation.
• Club Members do not require the CD-Rom

Only some Windows computers can be used without the CD-Rom in place.  Whether yours is one of these, can be determined by selecting, "CD-Rom Treatment" in the Internet Menu in the program.

Under "Your Hardware..." you must see the following:

• Your operating system must be NT4/2000/XP/Vista/Win7 or higher.
• A specific Mac-Address must be specified.  This is available only with an ethernet connection.

In the event that your computer does not meet these requirements, you can still play without the CD-Rom by becoming a Club member.  Club members can play without the CD-Rom using Windows 95 or higher.

Under Point 2 "Your Activation..." you can determine whether your product allows for switching off the Activation Code/Registration Number.

If it is, then please don`t forget the registration with your serial number.

Clicking on the "Okay"-button will set up an internet connection to check that the requirements stated above are met and will then allow unfettered play.  For a given product, this applies only on one computer.  Please contact our support team, if you wish to use the program on multiple computers.

Which program versions support switching off play with the CD-Rom?

This mode is recognized by the following programs: start at Rasche`s Skat 5.0, Rasche`s Doppelkopf 3.0, Tom`s ...Express-Versionen, Quick-Version und für die "Skat, Doppelkopf, Schafkopf"-Chipgames X. or higher.
